Dewan College of Education proudly commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 through a thoughtfully curated dual-phase program that celebrated both the power of the mind and the power of the self.
The event commenced with a heartfelt tribute to institutional excellence, where our respected Principal, Prof. Dr. Munendra Kumar, honored all female faculty members with mementos and gifts, acknowledging their invaluable contribution in shaping future educators and leaders.
Adding a dynamic dimension to the celebration, a high-energy self-defence workshop was conducted by Mr. Rajeev Kumar (Assistant Professor). The session equipped participants with practical techniques and essential awareness strategies, reinforcing the importance of personal safety and confidence.
The highlight of the program was an engaging “Learning Interaction” session by keynote speaker Dr. Aruna Paarcha from Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. She delivered an insightful sociological perspective on the transformative power of female literacy, emphasizing its far-reaching impact on families and society. Her discussion on the “multiplier effect” of education underscored how empowering women through education leads to improved health, financial stability, and informed decision-making within households.
The celebration concluded on a powerful note, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment—where women are inspired to grow, lead, and thrive with confidence.
